What? I can't believe they're stealing T-Cube as well. First the orange juice and now a computer? Man, my intellectual properties are just being trampled on! ... At least it's a decent size computer, looks like a gamecube .... not sure about the colour scheme though.

So according to slashdot, a japanese company is releasing a pocket-sized computer. The tentative name is the T-cube. Tri, I think you should sue.

Holmfry, you should get this site shutdown as well. They say that Zelda is being bundled with the GameCube:MarioKart Bundle in Europe.

First off, tildefrugal.net isn't on my own box so that's what the box at Twistedpair is running, not me.
At home, I've got a Celeron 300a running Gentoo Linux. It's a pretty cool distro if you're hardcore. Not as end-user friendly as Redhat or Mandrake but if you already have some Linux experience it's pretty sweet. It's completely source code based so all the stuff is built (and optimized) on your box. I really like the way the package management works.
The other box I have running at home is a 5 year old beige G3 mac.
But the big news is that my new G5 system arrived today. Man is this thing sweet! Dual 2ghz G5's, loaded it up with 2.5gb of ram. And I bought the 23" LCD display with it. This thing is HUGE! It just came this morning and I had to be at work for 1:30 so I haven't had much of a chance to play with it yet.

Yeah, hopefully I can download an episode of Vehicle Force Voltron. That would be interesting to watch. I think as a kid I liked the lions better though.
You had the Voltron set too Andrew? Cool.
There was an episode/movie at the end of the series I believe where both the Vehicle Force and the Lion Force team up to fight evil. I'd like to see that again.

Hey, just joining in here. Haven't really been following this too much yet so I'm going to throw a few things in there.
Fox sueing Fox is pretty whack, but why am I not surprised?
Wil Wheaton, never was much of a fan when he was on TNG but he has been pretty active in the geek movement so that's cool. Has he actually acted in anything recently or is he just sitting back cashing cheques from Star Trek?
Voltron, used to love this show when I was a kid. I remember in one of the episodes from the mini-series (the first few episodes of the Lions version) when one of the guys got killed (the dude who piloted blue lion if memory serves, and then the princess chick started piloting it). I think it was the first cartoon I saw as a kid when someone died, blew my mind (as in a "woah, cool" way, not a "ah mommy is that guy dead?" kid of way). I think I still have the Voltron toy at home (the die cast lions, not the lame plastic ones).
I also do remember the vehicle Voltron. There were 3 different "teams" air, ground, and water(?). I think that the Voltron robot looked cooler than the lions Voltron. The whack thing was that they had like 40 people or something that had to get together to form Voltron and like every episode they'd be like "hey, let's all split up and search this planet". Yeah, that's smart, individually we're a bunch of pussies and we have to all be together to make our super powerful robot so let's all split up?
However, there was also another Voltron, which I never saw on TV but did see the toys for. I believe this was the original Voltron, and the other 2 were follow-up series. That one had 3 smaller robots that could merge together into one bigger robot.
Voltron woot!

Heh. Fox tried to sue Fox because of The Simpsons
ICv2 News - Fox News Threatened to Sue The Simpsons: "
Fox News Threatened to Sue The Simpsons
Over a Parody Segment
October 24, 2003
During an interview broadcast today on NPR's Fresh Air, Simpsons creator Matt Groening revealed that the Fox News Network had threatened to sue The Simpsons over a parody of the right-leaning news channel. The highly sensitive news organization, which is headed by Roger Ailes, made headlines this summer with an ill-starred lawsuit against humorist Al Franken's book, Lies and the Lying Liars Who Tell Them. The Fox suit was thrown out in court and only succeeded in making Franken's book a bestseller. According to Groening, the Simpsons team refused to cut out the segment, which Groening told Fresh Air he 'really liked,' figuring that Rupert Murdoch wouldn't allow the Fox News cable network to sue the Fox Broadcast Network, which carries The Simpsons. The Fox News Network did back down on its threat, although it has told The Simpsons creators that in the future, cartoon series will not be allowed to include a 'news crawl' along the bottom of the screen, which might 'confuse the viewers.'"

Holmfry, you're going to get us all sued for referring to Gator software as "spyware". They provide "adware" not "spyware".
i HAVE A SECRET TO TELL YOU ALL. VOLTRON IS TCUBE'S FAVORITE SHOW. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN SENDING HIM FREE EPISODES SO THAT HE CAN ENJOY THEM ON DVD OR VHS OR BETA OR AUDIOCASSETTE WITH ACCOMPANYING BOOK, PLEASE EMAIL EITHER MYSELF (CHECK OUT MY BLOG!) OR TCUBE. THANKS. SPANKS. HANKS A MANKS PLANKS.
Check out Holmfry's Blogger. He's currently pissed off at Nintendo for denying the existence of the Zelda's Collector Edition for GameCube.
